Michels & Lew has over 30 years of experience handling complex and catastrophic medical malpractice cases and welcomes the opportunity to review your referrals. We’re selective about the cases we accept. However, when we do take on the representation, you can be assured we have access to the best doctors and experts across the country to support the case. We begin with an evaluation by our in-house medical doctor, Bradford Davis, M.D., who is Board Certified in Quality Assurance and has reviewed over 61,000 intakes for merit. His many years of experience as the Clinical Director of the St. John’s Hospital Emergency Department exposed him to a wide array of medical situations and afforded him expansive opportunities to analyze problems with a knowledgeable and critical eye. Having him as part of our team makes us unique and provides a benefit to our cases with which few other firms can compete.
Michels & Lew complies with all State Bar rules in regard to fee sharing with other lawyers. Clients are provided with, and must authorize, a fee-sharing agreement. The amount of the referral fee paid is dependent on the circumstances of the case and each case is determined on its own merits.
Even if you’re uncertain whether a case has merit, contact Dr. Davis and let us make the determination. We often uncover critical facts other firms miss when determining the basis for a case. A phone call or e-mail are free of obligation or cost, but the potential payoff if we accept your referral, can be significant to you and your practice.
